
Deon is a co-founder and director of J700 Group, bringing a wealth of experience in business administration, people management, marketing, and operations. With a career spanning entertainment, events, and technology-led organisations, Deon plays a key role in keeping J700 running smoothly behind the scenes.
After growing up in the West Midlands, Deon studied Social Policy & Administration at Lancaster University before building a 14-year career at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Starting in retail, she progressed into office-based roles within the entertainment department, eventually becoming Artist Booking Manager, responsible for coordinating external performers and large-scale events.
Deon later joined an international entertainment lighting company, where she worked closely with senior leadership as PA to the Managing Director and later as HR Director. During this time, she became heavily involved in internal business and IT administration, marketing, website management, and graphic design — developing hands-on technical skills while supporting a complex, multi-site business.
In 2015, Deon co-founded J700 Group alongside her husband John. Today, she focuses on business operations, HR, marketing, branding, and website design, while also acting as the bridge between technical delivery and client-facing communication. Her broad skill set and practical approach ensure the business runs efficiently and clients receive a professional, well-organised experience.
Outside of work, Deon loves the outdoors and long walks with her dogs, Tia and Taya. She’s an enthusiastic home cook with an every growing collection of cookbooks and a lifelong love of music (especially Prince).
